Winemaker
for a Day!
Learn the art of winemaking in a fun-spirited team competition. This entertaining
program offers an inexpensive team challenge where every participant can be a
star! The group learns the basics of winemaking before dividing into teams where
they will designate their own winemaker, marketing guru, label designer and sales
pro. Sampling a selection of quality wines chosen for their unique characteristics,
the team must decide just the right blend to make their wine truly exceptional
in its aroma, flavor profile, mouth-feel and finish. Once the blend is determined,
the team designs a label, outlines a sales and marketing strategy and presents
it to the entire group. A single judge determines the winning team based on taste,
presentation and teamwork.

Corporate Iron Chef!
Don your aprons! It’s time to get those culinary, and competitive,
juices flowing. The fun begins as our team of experienced chefs introduces
you to team building basics, safety techniques and the recipes for the three-course
menu you’ll be preparing.
In this timed event, teams are encouraged to use their imagination,
creativity and focus on the main goal: a great lunch! After
choosing a clever name and gathering at their designated
workstations (pro chefs by their side), each team must decide
how they’ll prepare and present each course – and
then quickly execute! When the time is up, team members
chill with wine and enjoy the lunch finished and served by
the pro chefs (who also handle the clean up).
After lunch, the meals are judged on quality (20%), presentation
(20%) and innovation (60%). Innovation includes the team
names, member’s chef names, team spirit, secret ingredient
and creativity in wooing the judges (yes, bribing is accepted). It’s
classic team building, Wine Country style!

Grape Stompin’,
Wine Pourin’ Competition
Roll up your jeans, hitch up your skirt, and lose the shoes! In a spirited atmosphere
of competition and cooperation, teams of two “winemakers” hop into
oak wine barrels, crush real grapes and make “wine”! It’s a
race against the clock, but the messy fun is just beginning. Team members must
next guide their juice along a trough and into a carafe. Ah, but the cart itself
rolls along an 8-foot teeter-totter! The see-saw’s stability depends on
the balance and coordination of still more team members positioned at each end
of the beam. Within moments, this frantic attempt to make and preserve a few
precious inches of the “Nectar of the Gods” will have the crowd howling
with laughter. The prize goes to the team with the most “wine” in
their carafe when the final bell rings. |

Racing Kart
Challenge
The Team Racing Challenge captures the thrill of driving an Indy Racecar in a
safe and challenging environment. After getting outfitted with the proper safety
gear, you get right on the track. Instructors teach you how to drive, brake,
develop the line, apex corners and lower your lap times. Lots of driving time,
team support and feedback from your instructors to improve your speed make this
program a blast for everyone involved. The exercise concludes in a shoot-out
for bragging rights for the overall team and the fastest individual before a
brief graduation ceremony. |

Lights! Camera!
Action!
In this showbiz fantasy, each team is a professional “studio”, producing
a 60-second TV spot about your organization. As the clock ticks, teams huddle
to develop a unique theme and script before directing, rehearsing and taping
their ad. The commercials are reviewed by “the client” who judges
them based on creativity, teamwork and how well the message is conveyed. Video
cameras and props are provided. |
 |
Photo Finish
Play tourist with a purpose! Teams are given digital cameras and directed to
a number of sites where they must take specific photos. Upon their return,
the teams join together to place the photos in a pre-prepared puzzle that
spells out a familiar saying or famous quote. |
